Reflection
In revising my Zine, I made several intentional changes to strengthen both clarity and rhetorical effectiveness. First, I cut unnecessary or repetitive phrases throughout the text to make my ideas more concise and easier to follow. This improved my logos by ensuring that each point was clear and direct, helping the audience better understand my comparisons between city and suburban upbringings. I also corrected small typos and formatting inconsistencies, which strengthened my ethos, as the work now appears more polished and credible. I changed the text color to red to highlight any changes or additions that I made.
In response to feedback, I incorporated more explicit research into my pages. I also added a Works Cited page at the end of the Zine with the additional sources added. This revision connects to the concept of inquiry, as I moved beyond personal experience and supported my claims with outside sources, making my argument more convincing and balanced. Additionally, I refined wording in several sections to better emphasize that there is no single “right” way to grow up, which strengthens my appeal to pathos by encouraging the audience to reflect on their own values rather than feel judged.
Overall, these revisions improved my Zine by making it more credible, clearer, and more rhetorically effective while staying true to my original purpose of informing and engaging my audience.
